Deepen your Passion for Science
The Stanford Science Circle, an academic enrichment program from Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies, offers quarter-long classes for local middle and high school students who are interested in exploring the vast and exciting world of scientific research. Weekly sessions are held at Stanford on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings throughout the academic quarter. The Science Circle promotes science interest and career awareness through engaging lectures and hands-on activities. Students learn directly from faculty, researchers, and post-doctoral scholars in the Stanford science community.
These programs are for students who are passionate and excited about science and want to see and do more. Our focus is on hands-on learning in topics that are outside the standard science curriculum.
Come prepared to meet new people and learn new topics
- Each student should bring a notebook and a writing utensil for notes. Special supplies for experiments and class activitites will be supplies by your instructor.
- Remember that we are visitors on a college campus and that University staff, faculty, and students may be working or attending classes nearby. We must try to minimize noise and obstructions inside University buildings, so we ask that students and families not wait in the hallways outside a classroom more than 5 minutes before class.
